The mixed-used development will house the Dusit Thani Residence Davao and dusitD2 Hotel, both of which are set to open their doors by 2019 after the completion in 2018.
"This is Davao's first luxury five-star development that rivals international projects and those at the Bonifacio Global City, Makati City, or Pasig City," said Tomas Lorenzo, TLDC CEO, during the topping off ceremony at the project site yesterday, November 9, 2017.
He added that the development will bring up the standards of living in Davao City to make it truly an international city.

The Dusit Thani Residence Davao and dusitD2 Hotel will offer a view of the Davao Gulf as well as a sprawling, 360-degree view of the entire community and skyline of the city.
The complex offers 174 spacious full-service residence units and 120 hotel rooms that reflect the elegance, simplicity, and comfort that define the Dusit signature style. The development will also feature a 1,000-capacity ballroom and function rooms.
Meanwhile, the residents will have housekeeping, laundry and personal concierge services at their disposal, as well as access to hotel-like amenities such as a Dusit spa, exclusive pools, specialty dining outlets, a business center and fitness area.

Lorenzo also said they sourced many of their materials from local suppliers like for their doors. "There are suppliers from Davao City that we are sourcing from. We go for the local suppliers that have international standards," he said.
For her part, Evelyn Singson, Vice Chair and President of the Philippine Hoteliers Incorporated, which owns and operates the Dusit Thani franchise in the Philippines, said the presence of Dusit Thani Residence Davao and dusitD2 Hotel will raise the bar for the hotel industry in Davao City.
"It will upgrade the accommodation industry here. All the hotels that are operating here for sure will have to upgrade and renovate if they will want to remain competitive and all new hotels that will come in will have to match the quality and standards Dusit is setting," she said.
